YOGA

 

Over the years I have distilled my knowledge of yoga and dance into three main guidelines - Awareness, Non-Violence and Gentle Consistency.

For me, the great yoga sutras perfectly postulate this  in the verse “Sthira Sukham Asanam”, which simply defines the Asana (Yoga posture) as  a steady comfortable position.

The lifelong challenge of yoga practice, is how to make it as effortless as possible. It is all about doing a great work as joyfully as possible with loving respect towards our body’s limitations.

The core of my practice is the dance like Vinyasa flow yoga that I like to spice up with elements from various movement traditions. Above all, we will apply together the subtle practice of Qi Gong and functional movement principles of contemporary dance. Through this we can strive to paint a dance-like, gentle way of yoga sequencing.

Yoga is
conscious motion
..it is dance
..a gift of time
so that the body
may experience
the present
