PHYTOTHERAPY
Plant medicine and herbalism, as we know it today, is a long thread of human correspondence with the green spirits that make life on this earth possible.
I like to imagine plants (and fungi) to be a form of intelligence. One which we are not yet quite able to grasp. Some call them benevolent spirits or allies, others simply call them food or wood. No matter what, they are with us, in one form or the other.
From our first breath to last, they feed us, build our homes and create the very air we breathe and, at the end, with the help of fungi and bacteria we become their source of nutrition.
Plants are living things and as such they are a conglomerate of diverse chemical compounds like ourselves. When we work with plants we work with many active constituents that work synergistically. Our bodies are evolutionary well adapted to interact with such chemical profiles. Thus we can easily digest and integrate most plants with very little side effects.
In my work I combine modern phytotherapy with Chinese medicine and the elusive wise woman tradition.
In this sense I provide holistic, bespoked nutritional counseling, tea recipes, tinctures, ointments and dietary supplement advice, as well as workshops and lifestyle consulting.
